world finalist in the bdo at long long last manages to avoid losing in the first or second round.

It only took one year, a favorable draw, and norris to play better than he ever has had in the bdo to finally win the lowest type of comp in the PDC

He now equals the achievements of Joe Murnan, Felix McBrearty, etc

That's another way of putting it, I suppose.

I want norris to succeed , as said he is easy on the eye, good pace, and at time a serious player, if he sorts out some consistency he will do well.

I still think he is more suited to the PDC than the BDO due to his style, just like Benito, some players are the opposite and take each defeat too much and reel and never fully recover, or take a long time to get going.

Boulton had a good weekend by his standards, has improved a lot in the recent couple of months, kist is beginning to find some patch of form.

The fact is this, the BDO means absolutely fuck all.No one in the PDC cares if you are a pub player, masters or Lakeshite champion, that counts for nothing when you play PDC.
Even top PDC players get put to the sword on the floor, reputation means nothing, its all about the win on the floor, and getting to the last 8 is a decent day, a semi or final is a superb day

Norrs has won only one single event in his career in the PDC, and that 10k is in reality worth at least double that, due to the doors it open
Bunting won a single comp last year and he too earned very well since on the back of it.

The rewards are there in the PDC for even winning a most basic floor comp.

Well yes, the orgs mean fuck all to the other. Stompé has hardly set the world alight in the BDO since switching, and was a regular quarter finalist in the PDC.

This post will get torn to shreds I'm sure, but I guess we'll never know unless a top player decides to switch to prove how much easier it is to win big events ("there are no big events") in the BDO. Surprised Hearn hasn't offered to bankroll one of the top players to undermine them exactly like that.

I firmly believe certain players in the PDC would win lakeshite easily.

Obviously taylor, he has already won it when it was far tougher and no split.Guys like MVG and Wade would win with ease, proven winners.

Then there are players like Wright and Chisnall, great players but would not pick them to win lakeshite, or any major, as they always fail to cross the line, look at glen durrant, tony o shea, the bdo chokers

There are players lower down the ranking in the pdc who I think would win lakeshite and players who wont simply down to mentality

Would certainly be interesting to see one of the top PDC guys travel the circuit and try and qualify for Lakeside. Would assume Hearn would need to offer them what they'd been earning in the PDC plus sponsorship.

Hankey's been trying for the last two years and just about made it.

Chizzy would win Lakeside now. The Grand slam final against Taylor he was brilliant, would have won it against a player of less caliber. Imagine if he was facing a player like Mitchel in the final, not a chance he would lose.

I Think if you are really honest you will agree, many a decent player who should have won lakeshites, like gary anderson, failed to do so not because they lacked ability but failed because of their mindset, nerves etc.

Look at some of the players that failed at lakeshite and look at some of the jobbers that won simply cos they could cross the line.

Ando, Chizzy etc all failed, while Beaton, Kist, David etc all won.
Bottle , mentality means a lot
