What's the minimum number of events he's compelled to enter?

Don't think there is one.

Thought there was as part of the Tour Card rules and PC finals qualification?

from what I know there is no set amount ...you can miss them all but need an excuse, as in lewis constantly claiming illness, like ando as well

ando also missed a euro event to see his buddy in a boxing match but had to get permission to miss the event as he was not "sick"

The PDC know half of the absentees are not sick but proving it is another thing.
I also suspect taylor would get some sort of preferential treatment due to his name, stature, age and the fact he is a shareholder

the correct answer is 5 over a rolling 1 year period to retain his tour card
and 10 over a rolling 2 year period to qualify for premiere events through the OoM.

The players championship is an exception to this rule. Only 1 pro tour event needed to qualify through the OoM.

bonus information -
only 1 of the 6 qualifiers need to be played to get into the UK Open finals.

Thanks mate, I knew I didn't dream seeing there was minimum requirements. How sad would that have been?

Not that sad. really. fugetaboutit.

The minimum requirements have been eased over time, which is nice.
An added benefit for the PDC is it that helps to keep the casual viewer/fan involved with their favorites.
It comes in handy when they (the PDC) are negotiating contracts and sponsors.
I read somewhere that they used to lose 40% interest when taylor wasn't on.
Now it's down to 20%.
I also read/heard somewhere that Taylor is getting older? (someone might want to fact check that)
So it may help him to stay in the spotlight longer as he keeps cutting back on regular pro tour events.
Same with RVB who has cut back for some time now.

This year, Klaasen has won two floor events, and reached the finals of two more. Add to that a handful of quarterfinals here and there, and it adds up fast.

Hopefully he can take that floor form onto the stage sometime and get some results there. He's been a little lacking in major tournament results, even when playing really well (like at the World's).

Yep, he's finally consistent! I read in that pro tour thread that he threw a lot of high averages. Good work.

Winstanley v Lloyd - a match up 2 players at the peak of their form.
