when im in the states i need to ask for it extremely burnt as well done doesnt come near over there to what i want it like

similar to france, a few times i asked for medium and it was almost raw, i dread to think what rare was like.

I had them take it back and cook it some more

Used to prefer well-done, but I'm a "medium" man now. Especially at my local Argentinian steak-house. Delicious.

aye, if you ask a chef to murder a good bit of beef, then tell him he didn't do it properly, it won't end well.

I had someone the other day order a ribeye, can you burn it and then when you think it is too burnt, burn it some more - luddite
