I doubt he was better than Priestley, Manley, Harrington or Burgess at that time. Admittedly, Hankey's win over Mason was very impressive.

I actually think Priestley's win over Manley was just as, if not more, impressive than Hankey's win over Mason.

BDO was probably at its strongest post-split between 2000 and 2004.

The PDC was becoming stronger during those years too though (Skol 6, etc)
