I call chips these:daveboygreen wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:23 pmHere no, Chips are what you would probably call Fries but a lot more chunky.
But no doubt you call what we call crisps chips.

I always thought crisps is the same, just the British English word for this.

If we need to be specific British 'chips' would be called 'hot chips' and 'crisps' would be called 'potato chips'

Re: The Crisp Thread
They are excellent, Thin and crispy instead of the greasy thick crap ones you get in most supermarkets, Not had any for a good while but will certainly be on my next crisp order.
Tayto years ago used to do crisps called 5's, Little bags pickled onion flavour that were 5 pence a packet, I once after I had flu ate an entire box of them (Think it was 48 packets) in a day watching movies in my sick bed, Literally was a case of open the bag, Pour them all onto one hand and down the hatch.

This was when I was 16, Ended up in bed for the best part of a week as I had it really bad with a chest infection as well and had barely eaten anything in days then woke up in the middle of the night and had the munchies...Started watching movies and before I knew it looked down at the empty box of crisps and all the empty packetsHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 8:30 pmThey ought to put that on a prescription mate.daveboygreen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 8:01 pmThey are excellent, Thin and crispy instead of the greasy thick crap ones you get in most supermarkets, Not had any for a good while but will certainly be on my next crisp order.
