The Crisp Thread
Thought I would create a thread about crisps as I just had a packet....
Just had a packet of supermarket own brand salt n vinegar crisps and thought...Wow...You can really taste the flavour in these, Walkers nowadays are pretty much tasteless.
For me, My favourite crisps purely because of the flavour of them are Tayto cheese n onion or their picked onion crisps, All across their range the flavour is just so strong in their crisps and you can really taste the difference compared to Walkers and other brands.

I'm a big crisp fan. Yeah sometimes you get a bag from Aldi or something and the crinkle cut crisps are sometimes better than the big brand ones
Hard to beat salt and vinegar Mccoys though

Re: The Crisp Thread
Tayto crisps are very nice, I first had them in Northern Ireland.
I like seabrook beef flavour crisps and Walkers Smokey bacon, but lately I’m partial to Golden wonders spring onion flavour.

Re: The Crisp Thread
Crisps just seem pointless since they retired the Brannigan's roast beef and mustard.

Tayto also do spring onion crisps, Again the flavour is so much more stronger than other brands, My mum and dad always send me one of the Tayto selection boxes at Christmas and my Mrs gets me one on my Birthday every year which has 8 different flavours, They are all decent.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 5:13 pm Tayto crisps are very nice, I first had them in Northern Ireland.

Seabrook crisps aint bad but the taste of them is not as strong as they were 30 years ago, Used to eat them everyday as a kid so I tend to only buy the ready salted ones, Im going to make my own homemade ones starting in the new year...Got my celery salt and other flavourings ready to experiment with.

Re: The Crisp Thread
Sainsburys do a good " own brand " copy of McCoys steak flavour.
Decent enough and half the price for a pack of six.
Crisps in general are fun.
I need to get out more.

Re: The Crisp Thread
I was never a lover of chocolate so as a kid I used to always have crisps instead, With how active I was with working in the mornings before school on the milk round then football, rugby and athletics and cross country after school I always had one hell of an appetite and would have 4-5 bags of crisps a day, I went though phases of Seabrook crisps, Then it was Nik Naks and then Roysters and when I was 16 and moved to Belgium disaster struck.
Supermarkets over there only sold fucking Paprika or plain crisps, The British shop was a trek to get to and rarely had any crisps at all but we did have a bakery that used to stock these really nice onion rings and since leaving Belgium I have never been able to find the same ones, I pretty much ended up going 3 years barely eating crisps.
