Re: YOUR WORLD GRAND PRIX MEMORIES
The first WGP final translates into legplay as a brisk Best of 67.

Re: YOUR WORLD GRAND PRIX MEMORIES
Phil Taylor's average (straight in) from the 2003 World Grand Prix final from sets 5-8 would be interesting. Must have been 120+ for a good while during that spell.

Re: YOUR WORLD GRAND PRIX MEMORIES
A 102.47 leg play average over 67 legs on 1998 boards is insane.
Interestingly, nobody other than Taylor bettered Rod's 93.09 leg play average in a final until Wadey in 2007.

Btw, that graph further indicates that the late 90/early 2000s/late 2000s versions of Taylor and mid 2010s MVG would smash today's fields.

Re: YOUR WORLD GRAND PRIX MEMORIES
I honestly think players cant be arsed with this event anymore. DIDO is a very boring format. if you don't like set play it makes it even worse by elongating the process. The fans are as a result placid quiet types.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 5:18 pm Btw, that graph further indicates that the late 90/early 2000s/late 2000s versions of Taylor and mid 2010s MVG would smash today's fields.
