Can’t wait for Barrs to ask Porter about this for Porter to give an arrogant dismissive response to which Barrs will squeal like a little bitch and won’t press him on it

The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

I don't expect any kind of dismissive response on this one. This is a huge change.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:30 pm Can’t wait for Barrs to ask Porter about this for Porter to give an arrogant dismissive response to which Barrs will squeal like a little bitch and won’t press him on it
This seems like they are challenging tour card holders to be professionals, or at least players semi-pros with a side job.

Re: 2024 PDC Calendar
I'll miss my floor event Sunday afternoons
That said, fantastic news on the Euro Tour front. We've been moaning for years about the German monopoly and now it seems PDC Europe are finally listening.
Suspect the World Series will slot in their usual time slots-
- Bahrain and maybe a new Asian one in January
- New York start of June
- Poland in June
- More free weekends opens up the possibility of different countries
I have this weird feeling that the PDC are starting to sack off Down Under, could it be given the boot next year?

You'd think most PLers won't need to play in the Euro Tour qualifier at least!

Re: 2024 PDC Calendar
I do reckon a lot of players, especially European ones, simply enter to get free entry to Euro Tour qualifiers, and sometimes the better ones end up unexpectedly winning cards. Sometimes you'll get players who take some time off (some take more time than others!) to get their personal lives sorted, but a few never seem interested in the pro game1205 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:29 pmI don't expect any kind of dismissive response on this one. Like a great man said, they dont owe the players a living.

Are midweek PCs generally a problem for players? Can't say I've noticed.

Re: 2024 PDC Calendar
If you have a typical job, taking a few days leave or making time up is ok for a handful of midweek events, don't see how you can do it 14 times in a year, especially with all the qualifiers midweek as well.

Not really. It's still 17 weeks but the format could be anything.
