Had my first visit to the new Farmfoods store near us earlier today....Couldn't believe my luck....They had Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers.....I aint had them in years, When I was a kid and worked for the local milkman in Carlisle, I used to get home and fill the grill with Turkey Burgers, Findus Crispy Pancakes, Waffles and Hash Browns, Sit in front of the fire in the front room and eat the lot before I had to leave for school, It must be over 20 years since I last had them.

Also picked up a few tins of Princess Pink Salmon for £1 a tin, Always handy to have in the cupboard to whack in a sandwich or baguette just sometimes if you get a bad one its a pain in the arse to get all the bones out of it.
A lot of shite in Farmfoods I wouldn't touch but I can see it will be quite handy for freezer fillers, The Colliers mature cheddar was £1.79 for 350g, Got one of those but not tried it yet.

Avoid the Crispy pancakes mate. Not sure if they've gone down hill or were always rubbish and its nostalgia clouding my vision but they are rancid nowdaveboygreen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 10:51 pm Had my first visit to the new Farmfoods store near us earlier today....Couldn't believe my luck....They had Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers.....I aint had them in years, When I was a kid and worked for the local milkman in Carlisle, I used to get home and fill the grill with Turkey Burgers, Findus Crispy Pancakes, Waffles and Hash Browns, Sit in front of the fire in the front room and eat the lot before I had to leave for school, It must be over 20 years since I last had them.

I remember years ago Findus Crispy Pancakes (The mince beef ones) used to have a dark rich filling, The ones now have a filling that looks like something my dog would do when he has bad guts and there was absolutely no taste to them at all when I last had them so I don't bother buying them now.Deadshot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 12:31 pmAvoid the Crispy pancakes mate.
