https://www.pdc.tv/news/2021/04/05/pund ... ine-nights

Goes to show Rod Harrington is absolutely fucking clueless as ever.

Nobody expected the debutants to be as good as they have been but Jose and Dimitri to get relegated?? Clayton 8th? Durrant above all three?? No idea how on any recent evidence (even before his PL disasterclass) Durrant could even trouble the three let alone finish higher.

Dan Dawson the only one to get 3 of the top 4 (MVG 1st, Clayton 3rd, Jose 4th). Nobody gave Aspinall a chance.
God Harrington, bless him. He was always likely to stuff the top end with the historically big achievers. He seems like someone who doesn't really revise their ideas even when the game is clearly spinning in new directions.

As for Aspinall given no chance, general opinion seemed to be that he was lucky to get picked at all, especially given Chizzy's heroics at the Worlds. Asp has really made a point here.
Strong start for Aspinall but he's tailed off again and can see him getting obliterated tonight.

I'm not usually one for intangibles but he definitely wins more games than he should by way of simply "wanting it" more. He can win when far from his best but at the same time I don't think his best turns up as often as it should either.

Oh dear, as long as he's left to just the second semi final I guess.

To be fair he wasn't as bad last time out, takes time I suppose.

Mardle will be missed though.

Mardle is wank. Still, I'd rather watch him commentate in sign language than listen to Petersen.

Mardle is marmite but I think he is most missed at climax moments, he is good at ramping up excitement levels.

MVG for $$$ purposes but i'd love Jose to win it and I think MVG is wary bordering on fearful of him.

GO JOHHNY GO!!! Hilarious that Mardle's voice has gone, bless him what a shot from Jose, that 120 was awesome! Very excited to see how this tournament ends, prefer it in a more condensed format

Anyone but MVG winning would be great. But I'm on Team Jose
