Will somebody become a 2 time major ( Premier event just for you) winner, or like we all know, MVG is just gonna rock up and clean up.

Goes to show Rod Harrington is absolutely fucking clueless as ever.

Nobody expected the debutants to be as good as they have been but Jose and Dimitri to get relegated?? Clayton 8th? Durrant above all three?? No idea how on any recent evidence (even before his PL disasterclass) Durrant could even trouble the three let alone finish higher.

Dan Dawson the only one to get 3 of the top 4 (MVG 1st, Clayton 3rd, Jose 4th). Nobody gave Aspinall a chance.
God Harrington, bless him. He was always likely to stuff the top end with the historically big achievers. He seems like someone who doesn't really revise their ideas even when the game is clearly spinning in new directions.

As for Aspinall given no chance, general opinion seemed to be that he was lucky to get picked at all, especially given Chizzy's heroics at the Worlds. Asp has really made a point here.

Thanks to Darts1 @darts1de again for top top stattery and art. https://mobile.twitter.com/darts1de

Dimitri off a cliff in Phase 2 despite his averages increasing by quite some chunk. That's weird looking.

The average for the entire tournament so far is 97.60. Surely 98+ without the the grim Glenda.

Dimitri's figures are baffling really..

He just seemed to choke at the crucial moments ...

Asp performance was a bit of a surprise. Think that he is proving a player who is going to be sticking around at the top end for awhile.

Jose showing some real promise and not just a mensur menstrual cylcle performance that shows up for a day or two once a month.

Other thing to take away from this PL is Gando the moaning old man is well on his way out. All his talk of how he was going to prove his critics wrong. First chance he gets he shits his paints. Not far behind him Glenda.

Definitely think Gando will give it up after the Worlds... I cannot see him doing another year playing like this...

He could just play the majors next year and retire after the 2023 WC

Indeed.. He only has 80k to defend between now and end of year, so will still be in a position for automatic qualification
for the majors.....
