Turkish Open skullduggery?

Post by The Ginge Reaper » Wed Nov 02, 2016 12:21 pm

Just started this elsewhere, anyone good with maths?

Mens Turkish Masters link to draw - 106 players, of which 40 were Turkish.

Womens Turkish Open link to draw - 53 players, of which 12 were Turkish.

Mens Turkish Masters link to draw - 51 players, of which 19 were Turkish.

Not a single Turkish Player played another Turkish player in their first match across all four draws.

What are the odds of this occuring?
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Don't need a calculator to work out that was a crooked draw. Probability of a random draw producing a similar outcome would be as close to nil as you could get
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

The nerve to think they could get away with something like that. Outwith the seeded players, the rest of the draw has to be random.

In fact NONE of the Turkish players would have been seeded which means the odds of none of them playing first match is even greater as they werent kept apart from each other by the legitimate seeding.

The Selectas are getting a bit of a reputation for cheating.

I can see them cheating but wouldn't Bo want as many Turkish players making it through to the 2nd round to give her the potential of an easier game?

More likely they where sucking up to the Turks by keeping them apart.

...or keeping them apart to give their mates from the UK a chance of an easier first round game. Or, the draws could be legitimate...

Aye, and Des Selecta could be straight.

And Bo's been chosen to be the face of Ann Summers.

And Bo's been chosen to be the face of the local abattoir.
The above seems a bit more realistic.

If it was just one draw it would still be odds against by quite a bit.

But all four?

there was definite cheating going on

the real mystery is who helped them pull it off as the selecta's are too thick to do this on their own

Would be a button in Darts for Windows to keep a certain nationality (or a set of players) apart in the draw, I would wager. Assuming that is what has happened, of course.....

If it's found that the draw has been fixed is it a disciplinary issue?
