What standard?

What the title says basically. What standard do you guys play at? I dipped my toes into superleague a couple of years ago after playing bog standard pub darts for years and really enjoyed it untill i was dropped after 2 games (which I won 3-0, 3-1 and had the leagues highest 3 dart finish) to accomodate the captains brother in law. I wasn't a regular at the pub and joined the team without knowing any of the guys, so after the kick in the nuts of being dropped I never went back. But theres a team down the road from me who've asked me to join, so i'll be chucking at superleague level once again. My average tends to sit anywhere between 70-80. What about everyone else?

About 45. Wierdly I am way better at doubles than scoring. Probably an inflated avg due to my ability to hit D20. That's more than 26 :)

Nah, especially not lately. When i played for a team a few years ago and practiced then i could manage 70+ on a good day's session.
These days if i hit over a 60+ average i tend to get a semi.
That said if i could hit frikkin doubles 70+ might seem easy, unfortuately i'd be better playing blindfolded to hit them somedays.

Thats a rounded figure mate, can be pants some days whilst others can push up above the 80 mark. Consistancy is what i lack big time.

If i could pick up a dart and be consistant even if it was a low average i could live with that but every day is different to the extent my average can drop about 25 points.
Some days my arm has no fluid movement and i jerk it badly a bit like Jocky Wilsons throw and then some days it feels relaxed and everything just works.

I do muck about swapping stem types and using different throwing styles so i suppose it's no wonder i cant find consistancy.

Can vary, started last season flying it, 14 to 21 dart legs. Second half of the season was the complete opposite, couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Still only lost two games of singles all season as my finisning carried me.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

Am I correct in thinking that a darts player only gets better the more alcohol he/she consumes?

In the past found my only weapon was being able to act more sober than my opponent.
