Social network bullying

Post by Dicie » Tue Apr 17, 2012 9:53 am

Seems to be more and more of this in the press lately. Anyone got any thoughts on it, or experiences of it happening to them?

sounds simple but whilst not experiencing it, maybe not be as straight forward as you point out

you see examples of it every day, be it on a forum or twitter/facebook. i guess its down to the strength of the individual.

good point, i supose if they lack confidence and self-esteem then they are more likely to be a target and struggle to deal with it

if people have enough friends/support network around them, they are more likely to get it sorted out. targeting loners would seem to be the recipe for success for these bullies.

fuck them...these simpletons deserve it.

These simple minded sheep that live their sad existence through facebook, bebo etc and think counting the number of friends they have on facebook is some kind of achievement deserve the abuse.
Beside anyone that so pissed of and gets depressed or commits suicide over what some asshole on the internet said would not be missed

but thats the problem with some weak minded people sprocket, you dont have to say anything nasty, just hurt their feelings or make fun of these insecure morons.
OIf these people were not getting upset online they would be the same people getting depressed in the real world, they bring all this shit on themselves

Would I be right in assuming that the majority of victims of this are young kids?

Yeah, well i aint talking bout adults, they can do what they want, i was asking how others wud handle it, if they knew it was going on. Its happening locally enough to me, all in the same class aswell, bar 2 of them.

Difficult to know what to do really, if you interfere then you run the risk of making things worse. Then again if you pick off the offenders one by one and tie them up and chop off one of their fingers then drive them out into the countryside (20 miles is enough) and leave them there naked, they should learn their lesson.

Bully's these days are an utter disgrace to society hiding behind their computers.
Back in my day a bully would get off their 250lbs fat arses and at least kick your cunt in face to face or throw your bike in the pond rather than this lazy lot these days who can't even make it to the front door.

Bully Beef, Biffa, Trevor from Grange Hill etc must be rolling in their graves.

What could I say about this statement.........BULLSHIT.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

you think ?

that was aimed at the adults moaning about bullying

as for the kids....spoilt little fat kids whose only friends are people on facebook and other sites for social lepers.
Half of these kids friends could be adult Wallys, if anything parents should accept as much blame for the bullying and monitor their children on the web.
They can do campaign after campaign but it would change a single thing....bullying will always exist, and the weak will suffer, its the way life is.Its how they handle the bullying is what determines the type of person they grow into
