Using a hosepipe to water a garden, water plants, fill a pond or clean outdoor surfaces are all banned as are filling and maintaining ornamental fountains.

Disabled people with blue badges are exempt,

Never mind, they were using hoses to spray the lawns outside Parliament House yesterday and I'm sure that warms the hearts of us all.

Thats a decent plan, makes parking very easy.

Worth more than a police badge nowadays.

I have visions of them being wheeled down the garden and getting jetwashed.

Perhaps it's because cripples need more water to survive, so they need to top up the excess fluid on the brain?

Someone in work has suggested it may be because cripps cant carry heavy watering cans from the kitchen/bathroom in the house?

Guessing because of disability. A big watering can of water is much heavier than holding the end of a hosepipe :)

Then again, not everyone with a blue badge falls into this category, so a big sweeping brush being applied here.

I suppose someone with Parkinsons would find watering a large area with a hose much easier than watering a large area with a watering can.
