Baseball season starts

Officialy it started last week as there were 2 games played in Japan but for me it really starts tonight with the defending champion St Louis Cardinals visiting the Miami Marlins, all other teams begin tomorrow

With loads of baseball, the Masters. Arsenal v Man City, Real Madrid v Valencia & the small matter of a potential league title winning party this weekend will be great

Can't wait mate. Got my MLB.tv subscription and have watched a bit of Spring Training.

Any of about 18 teams could be champions. How many sports can boast that unpredictability?

Great game to start the season with my outsider bet on on the Cardinal coming good in their 4-1 at the Miami Marlins.

The stuttering start to the season continues today with seven games with the remainder of those yet to start playing tomorrow. Following that, there will be full cards of games almost every day right through to October. For those that don't lknow the sport, each team plays 162 regular games a season.

Mets are rightly written off this year and will do well to finish last in their division. However, they are notorious Opening Day winners and although they are shite, they will win at least 70 games this year. Most of those will be when returning star-pitcher Johan Santana is pitching and today is one of those days.

Take a bet on the Mets to beat the Braves this evening (6.05pm UK/Ire time) - get as close to or over evens if you can.

I always enjoyed going to the skydome to watch the bluejays whenever I could.
