I really hope not, shouldn't even be in the team let alone captain.

Would love to see it given to someone who will be captain for many years to come.

The only player you can say is guaranteed a starting place is Rooney and he is getting fuck all.

Aye its not good.

I would like to see the likes of Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, Cole hang up their international boots after Euro 2012, but who is going to fill their boots?

The sad fact is those players will be involved with England until their mid 30's and we couldn't win anything when they were in their prime.

that is a good and fair post D & B, but thinking about it more makes it concerning for the team

Was he ever? For me, he was a decent player, lucky enough to play alongside some top quality defenders, but because he clenches his fists and shouts a lot, he's got "passion".

He was a solid figurehead for the abramovich regime to be built on, having come through the youth system. The fact that is was the last 1st team regular to do do should not be forgotten.

As for him being world class? I think he makes Rio Ferdinand look world class. & you should be aware of my feelings towards Rio.
