Liverpool. By a long, long way. 20 attempts, 0 titles.

But this is their year.

Liverpool's gotta be a big shout for me as well. Remember the season they won all the cups and were expected to kick on in the league next time?

I do see the logic behind the spuds argument though. Looking at the quality of players they've had over the years, they should have been finishing a lot higher.

Maybe now they are breaking the 100k pw wage barrier they might achieve something.

Liverpool.

More time training and less time grieving and they might get somewhere.

As much as it pains me to say it, Liverpool have grossly under achieved in the PL

Why and when did it all go so wrong for Liverpool?

Is Souness the man to blame?

Souness didn't sign hysen, speedie, carter or rosenthal.

That was the beginning.

Wasn't Fergie interested in signing Hysen, but got beat to it by Liverpool.

I remember a build up to a Liverpool game (may have been the 1995 cup final) and there were showing images of the past managers and imposed their names over the top (Shankley, Paisley etc). When it came to Souness, it simply said "Oops"

I don't think Souness is solely to blame but I don't think we really recovered from his reign.

See, too much blame on souness & his successors, not enough on the board who employed them.

It was they who took the club backwards.

i guess this thread was trying to get me to bite but alas spurs although have had good players have never paid the wages other clubs like chelsea arsenal united liverpool and city have .
where knotts gets this 100k a week bollock from is silly
spurs dont pay that
and financially one of the best run cluns who run within there means and onlt have a small ground

im happy , app vdv is on 65k modric 45 k which may be upped so get your fact right

what is spurs debt about 16 million

blimey one player could cancel that out

If you don't pay modric 100k, he's off. Those are apparently his terms, & levy is considering giving in.

Once he does, watch as the rest start asking for the same.

Or if he doesn't, watch all your best players leave.

so knotts u agree no one is on 100k after earlier stating they were ???

hell be off when we let him and all credit to levy for playing hardball

spurs have a good team and some good players

if all goes well a certainty for fourth at least as i think they are better than arsenal and liverpool
