I have it

Expand to 12 2 sessions

First session 4 first round games 4 quarterfinals first round best of 9 quarters best of 11

Second session semis and finals to have semis best of 17 final best of 21
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

_If_ they were to expand it, that would be a step that would fit logistically with longer games helping it be a bit more than a WS event on stage.

But I'm still a no because the aim is raising the standard. It's OK for it to be difficult to qualify for the Matchplay.

From the additional 9 players I would be interested in 6

De Graaf
O'Sullivan
Sheldon
Suzuki
Araujo
Pauling

Women's darts deserves a top event as the WDF Worlds field is often missing the big guns.

This. Outside of van Leuven, Greaves, Hayter and Sherrock the standard is probably worse than it has been for a while for the ladies.

I would say from the list Emuls posted they are all capable of a decent standard.
Sherrock is capable of having a stinker as we saw yesterday.

You are forgetting either the World Masters or the Dutch Open. But in both it started at the very last round(s), so not a lot of womn get an experience out of that. Although there might be a fair chance that the WM wont be played this year, and the Dutch Open will lose their main sponsor. Hopefully that doesnt effect being on tv.

As I said. There would be a few below but you would expect the majority to be 70+
