Greatest darting comebacks.

Post by HalloweenJack » Mon May 27, 2024 11:32 pm

What is the greatest darting comeback? Which has resulted in a victory.
Waites over Wade was good in the GSOD final, but the undisputed number 1 has to be ‘Wadey’ in the 2014 Masters final. 9-2 down against Merv and he done him 11-10
Enjoy…

not sure its considered a come back as such but humphries going from 4-2 down to win 7-4 against littler in the final considering the standard littler was playing at was unreal.

Prowler vs van goblin was similar, goblin like littler had a chance to go 5-2 up but the rest is history.

Wadeys cumback from dropping out of the the top 20 to winning more majors and at least one World championship, hasn't happened yet but will be a legendary cumback.

One of the most tragic moments in darts history, second only to the wadey collapse vs obese and greasy lewis.

Lewis against Wade at the 2012 Worlds is a worthy candidate.

Adi won 6-5 from 5-1 down.

At least Hamilton lost in the final.

Sherrock coming from 9-3 down to beat Van den Bergh 11-10 in the 2021 Nordic Darts Masters, which also led on to a good performance in the final against Van Gerwen and got the Sherrock hype train going again. The Van den Bergh game is less memorable for Sherrock's play than for the way Van den Bergh folded.

Won more ranking titles since his comeback than the previous six years before it

Majority were saying it wouldn't last long. He's played in everything tbf to him, and he's been playing solid but not spectacular. If he's content with his current position in the game in being around the top 32 with 1 or 2 deep runs a year as well as the odd floor title then there can't be too many complaints
