Where in the interview does he say this?
There's nothing wrong with holding an opinion about the premier league format. He's seemingly implying there is

Summary of Porter's interview for those who cba

- PL Lineup will stay as 8 players in 2024.

- At the minute, Greaves' WC spot will go to PDPA if she picks Lakeside.

- 2024 World Series will have Netherlands, Bahrain and one more in January, New York and 2 more in June/July and 2 Down Under in August. There may be more due to extra weekends freed up.

- If you don't wanna play the midweek floors or can't due to work, tough shit

- Measures are being taken to stop Cadby and Perez situations from 2024 onwards. Lewis is exempt from criticism.

- There has been a deliberate move to get away from Tour card holders clogging affiliate Worlds qualifiers- implying the likes of Devon Petersen, Labanauskas, Krcmar etc.

- An English city may be sacrificed in the PL for a European venue after 2024.

As soon as that phrase comes up you know the cunt is a Des Selecta style bluffer. Everybody who disagrees is a keyboard warrior who needs a slap PMSL x
Matt Porter is going to kill the game. You'd never hear Uncle Barry come out with this kind of shit because he knew what made money and didn't need to get into twitter slap fights with people with 27 followers to prove it.

Just listened to the Matt Porter interview and due to work commitments have not been on the forum recently, but my take on the PL format is below.

I attend the PL in Glasgow every year and Imo the current format is fantastic and for those in the venue having a competition winner every night is a huge plus.

The PDC do not make decisions based on feedback from forums, but rather attendance and viewing figures and if the knockout format had a detrimental effect on either or both of these commercial considerations then there is no doubt they would look at changing the format.

My interest in the PL waxes and wanes throughout the season, but then again it always has, it's nothing to do with the nightly format, it's just the nature of a tournament that takes so long, if Porter says the fans attending are more engaged with this format, I have no reason to doubt him. He's put it rather clumsily, but ultimately, a lot of the criticism comes from nerds like us who will never be happy with the format

The only thing I disagree with him on is Greaves, I think he's missing a trick in making her choose between the two tournaments, fair enough making the men choose, but the women have never had to make that choice

Haven't listened to it yet. But I have the feeling they won't go out and out to change her mind whatever she decides. I suppose we have to wait and see. But agree they should have made an exception for the women. They don't have that many options.
