Yep, Labour left us in so much shit it's going to take ages to get us out of it. Coalition are trying hard but it will take time. sadly, the population of this country is so thick, they could well re-elect labour next time and that will be the end.

As long as it isn't the Tories, it's a good thing.

A huge amount of the deficit was caused by bailing out the banks as happened around the world. Had the financial system been allowed to implode things would have been far worse.

I don't disagree with reducing the deficit but the pace has to be slowed to allow the economy to grow.

actually if the banks were allowed to implode things would be far better. By bailing them out all it does is keep the top 1% with money and take away wealth from the middle classes. In a short amount of time the banks will go bust again, its inevitable and the sooner it happens the better.

To a degree this actually makes sense. No party has a monopoly on good policy and as such the ideal would be to take the best from each and leave the dogma behind.

However, wouldn't that create a dictatorship?

Maybe we should borrow some more money to stop having to make most of these public sector cuts. That worked pretty well in the past few years....
