With Hillsborough being discussed in Parliment tonight it is expected that the speaker of the house will instead of shouting 'Order, Order!' will for the first time shout 'Ay, Calm down, Calm down'.

so you agree there would be no harm? My point is that it would close the chapter.

this is the issue, had the fans not try and force themselves in for free it never would have happened.Typical scousers blame everyone else.

Maybe the stewards should not have left them in, in the end it was the fans that crushed other fans and the blame lies with them.
No Gaz, the Police opened the gates and didn't do what they were there to do. Yes the fans crushed the fans but the Police allowed them to unknowingly do it. That's where the blame lies and nowhere else

I don't think it will Knots as anyone who has an open chapter for over twenty years will by now be unable to close it regardless.

so the freeloading cheap cunts who rushed in without tickets and crushed those already inside are not guilty and the fault lies with other people ?

Is it fuck......

Gaz, you really are missing the point here mate. Those with tickets should have been allowed through the turnstiles and the gate should never have been opened. The Police were paid to control the crowd and failed miserably. Why on this earth did they open the gate and allow a free for all?

MH is pretty much spot on.

The Police had a duty of care to protect the public that day....they failed hence thats where the buck stops regardless of how many ticket less fans.

even if the police fucked up....it was liverpool fans that killed their own.

But in true scouse fashion blame others.
A city full of professional mourners, we never stop hearing about the jamie bulger case, hillsboro, heysel etc....yet how often do we hear about the justice for those that died in other incidents like the bradford fire, nah,,,fuck them...lets not upset the scousers eh ?

This whole walking on eggshells pisses me off..Liverpool fans crushed their fellow fans,They can blame the police, the goverment, stewards, elvis presley, aliens or anyone else in the end nobody forced the fans into the ground. They went in on their own accord and for that they should accept responsibility.

It was a disaster waiting to happen....any number of clubs fans could have had the same fate around that time.

The point is they were allowed in by the Police Gaz, how the fuck could they know what they were running into? The Police knew and opened the gates, the same Police that were paid to be there to protect and control. They fucked up big time and that's where the blame lies as has been apparent from quotes from coppers who were there stated in the Commons tonight. They fucked and people died as a result.

Are you seriously telling me that the hordes of fans with no tickets that rushed in and crushed people to death are not in any way to blame ?

I'm telling you they were allowed to by the people paid to control the crowd. In a split second they were let in by people who should have known better and what happened happened, it can't be changed.

Put a free beer sign up and see what happens, get my point?

It's called human nature I'm afraid.

Oche, why copy my OP and post it elsewhere?

Fair enough, the police and stewards failed in their duty of care to the supporters that day, and have to share some of the blame. But the supporters who turned up at Hillsborough without tickets and put pressure on the security to be let in, also have to shoulder some of the blame as well.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'
