For those old enough, this date is a ‘where were you moment, the assassination of John Lennon.
Today is the 40th anniversary of the murder.
I was only a young boy but can remember this being the first huge news story where people were talking about it at school. The shock on my parents face when we heard it on the radio.
For those around, where were you when you heard the news about Lennon?

I was in Rhodes. Or maybe Sheffield. Not sure.

Not born BUT.

I first knew of the story at Primary School.
The Headteacher was a scouser and a massive Beatles and Cricket fan.

He mentioned it in an assembly (which was probably an anniversary of the date) likely around the late 90's, early 2000's.
