Probably rather they'd just used a ranking list

Could do it like in the Masters in golf that all past winners are automatically invited back.

Or not.

PDPA. The wildcard choices could be down to the choice of 5 or 6 people, which shouldn't happen in a tournament worth as much as nearly 3 other majors combined

Why not though? As an example...tennis? What do the players ranked 101-108 add to the event? Absolutely nothing. This is why they have wildcards in the slams, in fact in every single tennis ranking event on the main tour.

Do you think cunts on tennis forums moan senseless that the world number 106 hasnt got into Wimbledon ( a draw of 128)? Do they fuck.

Certainly at Wimbledon they seem to use it to the betterment of uk players
I'd assume it's the same at the others

At the end of the day it's all about opinion there is no right or wrong answer and Hearn and Porter will do what they wants anyway.

If they are that desperate to have wildcards in the PDC beyond the World Series then do it at something as equally as crap like the Masters

24 players, top 20 in the world plus 4 wilds. Top 8 in the World seeded

First round 12 ranked players plus 4 wild cards play each other, 2nd round the winners of those matches play the seeds

Fuck me, it's just the world series finals.....

3 qualifiers and 3 wild cards. If I'm picking the wildcards for this year, it'd be Adams, Fallon and Taylor (if he wouldn't do it, then Hankey or Fordham). All of those players would get media coverage, and people would be interested in their matches.

The UK open is The perfect place for wildcards/past winners. Gives the 1st couple of rounds something different

Make the qualifiers defend their spot against wildcards to fill the gap until Ally Pally

SKY would probably love it
