Ted won 2 BDO titles.
Fordham won 1.
They both have a win over prime RVB at Lakeside.
I don't see what Fordham did in darts that puts him above Ted.

Now this is something I doubt you will see often, but I’m with Senna here. Fordham was not a better player than Hankey. Hankeys 2000 title was in a field arguably better than the PDC field or at least comparable.Randall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:52 pmI genuinely think he was a better playersennafan24 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:48 pmOver their careers, they were about level from what I recall.Randall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:43 pmHe played darts to a higher standardsennafan24 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:41 pmTed won 2 BDO titles.

How did Fordham play better darts than Hankey?
You said he was giving Taylor a game? Hankey actually BEAT Taylor at the GSOD
I know you don’t like Hankey, but I think it’s clouding your judgement a bit.

This is my Piss Palace....BE ON YOUR WAY.
Hankey for me, pretty similar to Fordham but he had the slightly less appalling PDC tenure. Also has a decent, if not spectacular, record at the slam and beat prime Taylor on tv.

A meaningless best of 9 proves fuck all and is irrelevant In this discussion
I believe andy was better than him and that's that
I'd rank him above Walton, david, wallace but not Fordham
Dislike has fuck all to do with it.
I think fordham was a better player and that's it

Fordham's performances in 2004 were more impressive overall than Ted's in 2000. In fact, Fordham's Lakeside win came just before the BDO really declined in quality in the mid-2000s.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:32 pm Hankeys 2000 title was in a field arguable better than the PDC field or at least comparable.
Still, I don't see how Fordham had a better career overall than Ted. At best, they're equal, although I would give Ted a slight edge overall.

No need to get tetchy Randall, if you think Fordham is better so be it, I just don’t see how that argument can be backed up. I also don’t agree with the smoke and mirrors comment, I made a valid point. I’ll leave it now, we have both made our cases.Randall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:39 pmHankeys 2000 win is smoke and mirrors.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:32 pmNow this is something I doubt you will see often, but I’m with Senna here. He'd have bean Taylor in 01
Ted would have beat him in 00
Wallace would have beaten him whatever year he won
Same with burnett etc etc

Re: The darts forum definitive all time top 32 -27th place poll
I’d have to look at the stats as I’ll be honest I can only recall Fordham in the final. Didn’t Ted hit a record. Inner of 180s in 2000 and blasted Baxter away in 46 minutes in the final. Ted also had one of the best throwing actions ever, but that’s another debate.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:42 pmFordham's performances in 2004 were more impressive overall than Ted's in 2000. Surprisingly Ted and Andy only ever played 2 competitive games against each other, winning 1 a piece.

Do people actually really say this stuff though?
Let’s take Walton. He was brilliant in 2001 and I think it’s fair comment, he would have probably beaten everyone bar Taylor that year.
Pointless fact- I used to live about 2 miles away from John Boy.
