yeah same. and he's obviously defending nothing at the PC finals or worlds so he's likely to get higher.DeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:13 am No idea how Jamie Hughes is so high. Every time I've watched him in the last year since Czech Open he's been shite except for the first game at the Europeans.

Re: Tour card race 2020
Still weird that we don’t know how many players are gonna go through the PDPA qualifier
Could have someone qualify as the 9th qualifier who’s ranked 100th and a couple of wins at worlds could salvage their card out of nothing

It's a fucking mess. Unless Thornton saves his card this way which would be totally valid and deserved as an all time great of the game.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 2:40 pm Still weird that we don’t know how many players are gonna go through the PDPA qualifier

100% expect there to be 9 PDPA places and qualifier finalist losers to be put in OOM order for a reserve list in case of withdrawals. Justin Shite will undoubtedly make itThe Thorn wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 2:41 pmIt's a fucking mess. Exactly which qualifiers haven't taken place? Irish, South American and a few Europeans right? That many places in the PDPA qualifier would be a fucking farce, but sadly it's likely at this point.

India, South/Central America, Ireland, Iberia, Benelux, and Central Europe (ie Austria et al). Looks like there'll be 8 PDPA qualifiers, like for 2008 and 2009 (back when there were only 8 ProTour qualifiers)

kando has apparently said he will come back if still in top 64, but I am not so sure, and reyes seems to not be bothered at all.

Re: Tour card race 2020
Thought Reyes would kick on after that game against MvG a few years ago, but it never happened for him. God knows why he hasn't been playing, I guess travel restrictions is the most likely answer, so in theory I reckon he'll probably be available to come back next year, though whether he'll want to with so much ground to make up, and such little competition this year, is anyone's guesstungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:20 pmHe showed potential for a while and then looked like he didn't give a shit.Randall wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:17 pmI wont shed a teartungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:14 pmit wont be long before Reyes joins himRandall wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 12:38 pmNo lossTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 12:33 pm RIP Toni Alcinas’s tour card , gone but never forgotten![]()

Also realised that there are no Spanish representatives at the Worlds for the first time since 2008, Jose is really showing them all up!

Re: Tour card race 2020
Needless to say, a ginormous win for Edgar, whose tour card is now a good 90% safe I'd say. Kuivenhoven could have done without it, obviously he's far from safe, if Hunt and Kleermaker win their first round games (which they'd probably both be favourites for given they'll be up against a non-ProTour qualifier), Maik would need to win his first round game or else he's relying on snookers
