This tournament is interesting on paper but always manages to become just about one of the flattest. Way too many jobbers are let in.

At the same time it's nice to have a bigger event though, all the others are 32 players. And the 2 board setup means we don't have to endure all the shit games. I don't know, it's just a bit underwhelming at times. Being the very last event before the worlds, after a very busy few months probably doesn't help it either.

Couple of Lowe key pearlers in there, Lowe is a very dark horse against Cross, and Devon against Humphries should be good, Humphries hasn't been great this year (he's also not been horrendous) but it's this time of year he starts to come alive
