Thornton.

Won two PDC majors by beating Taylor and MVG in finals.
The day the world stood still:

Tough choice

Lloyd won his majors in Taylor's pomp and was number 1

Harrington won back to back matchplays, beat taylor in a real masters and runner up in the worlds

Thornton for the reasons given above

Hmm

Thornton at his best was a match for anyone but I don't think he was as consistent as Lloyd or Harrington. I'll go for Rod.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Didn't actually beat Taylor on the way though, did he. I liked Lloydy a lot but that is an odd way to frame his titles. He wasn't defying 'Taylor's pomp' at that time or in a million years

Thornton.

He won 2 majors and he used to be my favourite player.

Lloyd, 1 for punching the board, 2 for his rant about lack of respect for getting to No1 in the rankings(funny as feck) Plus he won a major
