Both Aspinall and Durrant would have been a sterner test than anything he was able to overcome in his career. Did he ever win a big tournament where he wasn't the favourite?

I think the dartitis was very convenient for him, giving him an easy excuse as to why he couldn't compete. Really, the lack of fight in adversity was pathetic, even Taylor said as much.

Look at the averages that Bristow posted on those boards in 1985 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985_BDO_ ... ampionship

That version of Bristow would have been a handful for any darts player not named Phil Taylor.

Factor in all the singles that would be trebles now
All the bounce outs that would have scored single or treble
The 25s that would be bulls
All the doubles he wouldn't have missed on boards with segments visible from space
97 is worth 107 at least

Even the 97 is more than durrant ever managed on the toy boards in a world final

Fuck it I'm not spending the evening arguing Eric is better than durrant. No arguement is necessary.
