I'm surprised Warriner hasn't been mentioned in any of these polls at all.
Imo beats the other Iceman.

In the absence of other names I have to vote Harrington for at one point coming close to matching and threatening Taylor's invincibility.

Debatable.
Cross has won a World Championship, a Matchplay title, and a European Championship.
Rod won two Matchplay titles, and a BDO Masters title (pre-split) where he beat Taylor in the final. He was also ranked number 1 in the PDC between 1998-2000, and for a 16 month period between 1995 and 1996.
Either is a decent choice.

Headshaker is the only darts player as overrated as those two.
Duzza should have been ranked above Spineless btw. I don't see an argument for rating Adams above Duzza at this time.

The argument would be that he won Lakeside 3 times when it was less of a joke than when Duzza won his 3, and also acquitted himself well in the PDC Events he played in the early 2000s.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 12:46 pmHeadshaker is the only darts player as overrated as those two.

I voted for Cross here BTW.

1. It's a myth that Lakeside was less of a joke when Adams won it. Lakeside 2011 was one of the worst major darts events ever shown on TV. The 2010 version wasn't much better either. Even the 2007 version, while heavy on names, had a very weak standard, just look at the bottom half of the draw from round 2 onward.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 7:59 amThe argument would be that he won Lakeside 3 times when it was less of a joke than when Duzza won his 3, and also acquitted himself well in the PDC Events he played in the early 2000s.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 12:46 pmHeadshaker is the only darts player as overrated as those two.

2. His PDC run in the early 2000s was nothing out of the ordinary, especially when you consider how he fared against the PDC's top dogs of that era. Granted, he beat Warriner and Manley, but he lost to Taylor, Burgess, and an ancient version of John Lowe.
3. Duzza at least has some decent wins in over MVG and Wright in TV majors. When did Adams ever beat say Taylor or RVB in a major TV event? Never, unless you count the 2000 Zuiderduin Masters as such. Beyond that, Barney always beat him at Lakeside, the Masters, WDT, and the IDL, whereas Taylor beat him handily at the Matchplay, NOTW, and WDT.

I didn't really watch much of Lakeside until about 2013, so saw very little of Adams wins. However the fields certainly had more depth than Duzza's.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:24 am1. The version of MvG that Duzza has beaten is nothing compared to Taylor so I really don't think that is relevant.
Even with the PL win, I think you can make a case Adams is still ahead of Duzza in overall career achievements.
I voted Cross the last 2 times and would have him and Harrington at least ahead of both of them, maybe even Rees as well.

Does it tell the Mods who voted for who?
Durrant above Rob Cross?
I think not.
There's some "mail voter fraud" going on here.

I don’t see how Rees can be considered. The standard of darts when he won the title wasn’t very good if we are honest.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:37 amI didn't really watch much of Lakeside until about 2013, so saw very little of Adams wins. Harrington is getting a few votes, what about Colin Lloyd? He won 2 PDC majors and was a world number 1

Rees made 2 Finals and won 1 Unified World Championship.
He is clearly ahead of Durrant and Adams for me.
Lloyd is an interesting one. He didn't beat Taylor in either of his Major wins and would never have been World Number 1 under the current system. I'd have him a few places below Harrington.
