Mentioning McGeeney makes me cringe hard.

Piss-taking aside.

Duzza is literally the only BDO player that has switched in recent years and threatened to break into the PDC top 10.

This notion that the standard of play in the BDO was underrated and that they had "some of the world's best players" is a load of nonsense.

If 'best' stands for 'top 100' then perhaps they did have 'some of the world's best players', but even then perhaps.

Pretty much. Noppert is looking good this year and might break into the top 16. Hughes looked really good when he switched but been terrible this year. The rest are cannon fodder.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

And that's his third 9 darter in a row but he still has some way to go to beat Peter Wright's eight in a row earlier tonight.
Cue Randall "what? did someone hit a 9 earlier tonight?"

Hughes has had injury issues this year so i'd give him a pass. He is very comfortably a top 32 player, think he could spend a lot of the next few years floating between 12th-22nd a la Bunting, Cullen etc.

Yeah, Van der Voort had injury issues. Anderson too. Price with that banana tape and his leg iirc. It's not an excuse for them. (although they all claim it is)
