He's good from what I've seen but will just clog up events like your favourite Stevie Beaton.Randall wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 12:35 pmHe fascinates me how he addresses the ocheJimmi wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 12:20 pmPerfect for Gilding thenRandall wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:44 amI'd forgotten the filthy floor qualifierCaptain Hobo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:42 amIf he doesn't make the PL Final or get through the Floor Qualifier, I will officially join you and Senna in the 'Duzza's overrated' camp.

Haha.
I guess I should have put inverted commas round that sentence as it'll be paraphrased from something Randall said a while ago about Beaton.
I love Stevie B! He can clog up all the events he wants.

Just checked darts database.
Duzza currently ranks 9th in terms of prize money won in PDC ranking events over the previous 12 months.
So no, he clearly isn't top 5 in the world, and is arguably not even in the top 8.

Surely Wright should be #1 with at least 500k?

I think oche is doing a 2020 list rather than the-last-12-months. You're on your own after that as I don't know.

Fair point, the list I had included the 40k from the Grand Slam.
Dross is in for a big drop in 2 weeks btw.

That is true. I am making things worse.
Oche was using this, which counts everything since Q-School: https://www.dartsrankings.com/yeartodate

Meh.
Yes, I was wrong when I said he wouldn't win a TV title. But the standard was piss-poor all night.
He averaged below 89 for the night. Prime Taylor would have gobbled him up no problem. As would many other players if they played something like.

A prime Taylor more than likely beats any player tbf.
As for playing anything like? That’s the thing though, many don’t when they play Duzza. You and I know he can average over 100 and it’s possible he could raise his game to his opponent if they do the same.
One thing Duzza generally does as good as any player currently and probably better is the finishes between 100-130 he is the new James Wade in that respect.
