Duzza struggled when he played the top players. He was fortunate that the underperforming players didn't play well against him, but played well against the others players near the top of the table.

He was even lucky against the top players. Anderson and Wright both let him off the hook, for example.

So you wouldn't consider MvG and Price were the top players because they didn't make the top four in the end, but Aspinall and Anderson were? Trying to understand both perspectives of this discussion.

Actually I didn't feel offended throughout this entire argument which hasn't happened that often to me before, so I guess that's one thing. I kinda liked arguing with you because we both brought up various arguments which although not all well-constructed (also from my side I admit) are still valid. That's not true Viz. Durrant is extremely consistent FFS. He barely plays garbage or extremely brilliant on TV. Unless you show me actual stats (e.g. the standard variation of Durrant's game compared to other elite players), I'll call bullshit on that one.

And I feel like this is why people underrate him a bit. Look at this statement:

It's nice and may be true but it matters fuck all. You claim Durrant is in and around 10th, yet the major results don't support that. The ranking TV results show he's comfortably top 6-8. And you can add the PL league stage win to that, 15 weeks against the best players in the world is a relatively big sample size in a year.
