If you'd analyze his other 'big' runs you'd see they were massive flukes. Even topping the PL table was a fluke.
Fucking nonsense. Durrant got to 3 other big major semis. No one apart from Taylor and MVG has ever topped the PL but apparently it's a fluke? All 15 nights were a fluke?
Yes. He shouldn't have won most of those matches. Only the matches in the first covid multi-session were impressive, the rest was below-par and his opponents wasted opportunities on him.
3 BDO titles mean virtually nothing in this era. The semis? 2019 Grand Slam was almost eliminated in group stage. 2019 WGP reached the semis while averaging low even for WGP standards and in the end lost as many sets as he won. 2020 WC run to the quarters the same thing but with legs. 2020 WM we all know how that ended up. Lucky runs aplenty.
Boring to watch on TV boring to watch on floor events and he's shit on the ProTour as well. Has also had a lot of early exits on TV tournaments for someone who is 'top 10'. Hope his age gets the better of him quickly.

It's more his BDO titles.
Forgot that but yes it's basically only his "very valuable BDO titties"

You've just overrated him yourself.

No way should he be considered as high as 4th best in the world. MVG, Anderson, Wright, and Price are all clearly better than him.
between 4th-10th. 5th is handy

Only person Durrant is better than (based on titles, ranking, overall talent and form) is Ian White.

PDC TV record

2019

UK Open- Last 96
WMP- Semi
WGP- Semi
Euros- Last 32
GSOD- Semi
Players- Last 16
Worlds- QF

2020

UK Open- Last 64
World Matchplay- Semis
World Grand Prix- L32

4 Early exits but 4 semi finals. Still a good record and thats why he near the top 10 in the OOM, Lucky runs are an act of a person who perhaps orginally did not think he would last 5 mins in the PDC

Hmm
Durrant's PDC titles: two measly PC's
White's PDC titles: too lazy to look up but defo more
Ranking: White is above Durrant
Talent: This is subjective but Durrant says it's come from hard work and I'm struggling to see White having worked this hard to get to his level
Form: Both are in shit form since corona.

P.S. "Knew you'd bite"

Duzza has a better TV record than Ian White could ever dream of. That's why I'd say he's better than White.

White has got to one semi final in 10 years. Durrant has got 4 in 18 months

Floor form is exactly that floor form

So Price only got ranking money for 1 out of 2?

I'm convinced you're taking the piss now. You can fluke one or two wins but not all those runs. "Shouldn't" have won them? Matters fuck all. Results are what count and it's pretty irrelevant who he beat on the way or how much he averaged. The ranking TV performance of Durrant in the last 12 or 18 months puts him in the top 8. Comparing him to White who's a well known bottler and a completely useless TV player is a joke.

The Grand Slam has been ranked since 2015. Price won it first in 2018.
