Ali
Sugar Ray Robinson
Pele
Bradman
Federer
Nicklaus
Bolt
Eddie Merckx
Steffi Graf
Wayne Gretzky
I’ve not really thought a lot about it. It is all subjective and very hard to do.

Bradman was so much better than anyone else in his field an argument for him being number one is easy to make

Re: Top ten sports people of all time
My top 10 - in order:
Phil Taylor
Michael Jordan
Ronnie O'Sullivan
Andy Varipapa
Garry Kasparov
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Seen him do things that truly no one else can do, and he's the only one at that.
Adam Peaty - Put him here instead of Phelps because Phelps was dominant over a broad range, but not even closely as dominant as Peaty is on the breaststroke competition today.
Efren Reyes
Bartolo Colon
Sven Kramer
Some notable mentions:
Steve Davis - I recommend a video of him doing an exhibition in Hungary; he could have been a comedian if he wanted to.
Jacques Secretin & Vincent Purkart - This was a table tennis duo from France that played exhibitions against each other. If you haven't seen footage of these two playing against eachother, I would recommend looking it up. They 'made' the sport, unlike top players today who just try to be the best; these two showed what you can do on a table with a small ball and two rackets.
Bobby Fischer - Could have made a so much bigger impact on the world of chess if he had persisted.
Daniel Negreanu
Zydrunas Savickas
Tom Brady
Phil Taylor
Michael Jordan
Ronnie O'Sullivan
Andy Varipapa
Garry Kasparov

Andy Varipapa - Bowling. Did shots back in the day that people won't be able to do in the current day.Randall wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 2:36 pmWhat sport are these from?vizIIsto wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 2:31 pm My top 10 - in order:

Efren Reyes - Pool. You know pool, right?
Bartolo Colon - Baseball. As fat as Babe Ruth but more of the current day so I feel more for his character than for Babe.
Sven Kramer - I assume you don't watch speed skating.
Daniel Negreanu - OK perhaps I went too far classifying poker as a sport...
Zydrunas Savickas - Strongman competitions.
Tom Brady - Okay I expected you to know this one but well, it's an american football player. Still plays today.
There are great clips from Varipapa, Reyes, Colon and Negreanu out there. Similar with the French table tennis duo I mentioned.

Also, not necessarily a sports legend but Adam Bobrow comes to mind immediately when thinking of someone who spreads the sport around the world in a way that gets everyone excited. Thought I'd share this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_green_bowls
Edit: Perhaps better, from the English dictionary:
Bowls: A precision sport where the goal is to roll biased balls (weighted on one side, and called bowls) closer to a smaller white ball (the jack or kitty) than one's opponent is able to do.
Bowling: A game played by rolling a ball down an alley and trying to knock over a triangular group of ten pins; ten-pin bowling
