I imagine back in the days there were some horrible encounters too.

Against that standard of course he is. That wasn’t my point and I suspect most people that read my post would have understood that.Randall wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:16 pmUnless he plays with 2 darts hes winning against this standard.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:14 pmI’m neither but you are very aggressive and it is you that is attempting to start animosity. Whoever wins this dire game I bet will improve in the final and I bet Price’s average isn’t as high as 102 or whatever it was.Safc wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:09 pmThis is getting silly nowHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 8:56 pm Everybody assuming Price wins the final due to how dire this is. It doesn’t work like that though.
Wright and Price bounce off each other when they play. Let’s see Gerwyn against one of these.

Of course I’d the standards are replicated it will be 11-0 or 11-1 but it’s not guaranteed. Look at Wade this afternoon on the doubles, he was 50% and averaged 99
Look at the difference now. What’s to say Price doesn’t drop his standard. Surely you understand that??
What’s to say Cross doesn’t suddenly raise his game and average 100 ?

Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
Wade still very good on his day but throws in far too many high 80's- low 90's in big matches, really disappointed in this performance.
Cross was even worse but Wade missed doubles galore early to let him off. Price on form should win the final comfortably but he did lose a final last year to cross averaging 84.

Reminder that a 90 odd average was enough for Cross to beat Price in the Euro final last year...
Hoping beyond hope Price implodes similarly!

Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
Averaging 85 loses you 99% of games on the pro tour, but that win's guaranteed him at least 30k
Knowing that alone should surely give him enough relief to up his average by 10 points here

Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
I seem to remember you saying he was poor last year, yet he won the Matchplay and European open. As poor as Cross has been I doubt he has thrown many 83 average games.Randall wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:22 pmHe hasn't all yearHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:22 pmAgainst that standard of course he is. I want Jeepers to win of course but unless he finds 15 points on his average or Tumor drops 15 he has absolutely no chance

Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
You may be right. Somebody will be able to dig up some stats, but I’ve just seen the stats for the Grand Prix final In 2001 and this doesn’t look a great match of the averages are anything to go by. I know it’s a double start, but those figures are low.
2001 England Alan Warriner (83.52) 8–2 Netherlands Roland Scholten (81.84)
