Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
Any weirdo website has as much justification in calling something 'Major' as anybody else has.
It's all private fantasy. Fairytales. The word does not appear in PDC rules.

Nobody in their right mind puts todays exbo on the same level of importance as the big 3.
By claiming all are majors your in danger of just that.

I actually haven’t claimed this current event is a premier event/major and neither does the website you have dismissed.

The commentators refer to several events as majors, but of course a few traditionalists on here think there are only 4vizIIsto wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 5:39 pmTeach me your skills, you, who are so wise in the ways of posting.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 5:37 pm Premier Event Title Roll of Honour Edit

Some don’t see the Premier league as a major. Yet it is described as part of the so called triple crown. Again these are not my words.
In snooker the Masters is deemed the third biggest tournament and that is also invite only.

I didn't even mention anything regarding the content of your post yet you still manage to turn it into yet another argument about what classifies as a major and what not.

Re: 2020 World Series of Darts
No you were trying to be a smart @rse. I am merely putting what I see as legitimate evidence as what constitutes a Premier event/major by PDC definition.
I can’t think of any other sport where there are so many so called majors/premier events.
I am not suggesting for example that the European championship carries as much weight as the Matchplay. There is definitely an upper echelon of events of which the Premier league to my mind should be included. A few on here might not agree with me, but the PDC, Sky and I bet the players themselves would.
