Imagine how many more legs Smith would have won in his career if he wasn't shaking his head on the 3rd dart and just throwing it away for a single instead of focusing on hitting a treble

Don't worry, he had lost a bit of weight which according to the commentators will now make fat Smith a winner.

The so called triple crown is

Worlds/MP/PL

I’d then put Grand Prix/GSOD next

Then the other PDC premier events. I don’t class the World Series events as PDC premier events. Smith has won one, but people still go on about he has yet to win a big event.

His constant "walking on the last dart" is utterly stupid.
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

PL in invitational outside top 4 so should not be counted. Especially now they have bastardised it now with the challenger shite

You are obviously old school. Ask any dart player the question “Which event would you rather win the Premier league or the U.K. open. I don’t think many would say the U.K. open. I’m sure Phil Taylor once said that the Premier league was now the second biggest event ( I would say 3rd)

They are the original big 3 with the open tacked on
Only the full week long events open to all can be classed as majors

But it generally is the best players in the world and whether people like it or not it has become huge and times change. It is now referred to as part of the triple crown. Just for Bobby, if it was snooker I would say the Premier league is equivalent to the Masters ( non ranking and generally the top players)

And prestige. Knowing you have beaten the best. I love the U.K. open, but due to its format you could win it without facing or beating the best.
