Not this shit again
Burnett was the best player in the mid-90s.
I would entertain a discussion of 2004 and 2005 where Taylor was poor by his standard.
Taylor was unplayable in in 01-03
Look at the numbers he was posting at the grand prix with a double start.
"Not this shit again"
It pops up once every 12 months or so.
Ted's 92 average was going to bother a man who could average 103 double in for extended periods.
Ridiculous

You are aware that Taylor thrashed RVB in cross-code events in 2005, right?
2004? Perhaps RVB would have taken a few tournaments off him, but Taylor would have still got the better of him overall.

Ted Hankey in his prime could have at least pushed Taylor ( not literally) Hankeys throw was sublime.

Ted Hankey in his prime could have at least pushed Taylor while falling off the stage. Hankeys 'stroke' was sublime.
Have to agree, mate.

Myth.
Compare Taylor's averages with Hankey's in 2000.
Ted's averages were in the early 90s most games, whereas Taylor was averaging over the ton most of the time.

Averages don’t always win matches. Don’t you listen to Sky?

I'm well aware of the masters of darts etc and it proves that even in periods where he was going through the motions he could still raise his game when needed.
