Remember Smith saying of Duzza at the Matchplay last year after their SF(?) that 'he's not winning one before I do'.

I mean, like, he probly is, mate.
Neither will win a major IMO.
I'm not getting involved in the word 'major' but there are plenty of big titles to go around. They will both get one eventually, imo.
For me, the big 4 are the Worlds, Matchplay, GP, and UK Open.

I don't think either will win one. Duzza is on a charmed run, in the past week alone 3 of his opponents have bottled multiple match darts against him. Bully Smith is utterly useless at closing out games.

Those are the 4 majors for me as well.
Smith could win the UK Open if he gets a favourable draw and a few of the big boys fall early.
GP he has no chance.

2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Duzza is the most overrated player in darts history along with RVB and Adams.

Since Smith beat Taylor at Ally Pally, players that we'd barely ever heard of at that time have won the titles you mention.
Thinking particularly of Cross, Gurney, Aspinall and Dimitri. At least a couple of them we'd never heard of, surely.
Smith is in the familiar old pattern of getting swallowed up.

Exactly, as Gaz has said elswhere, Smith is the new Terry Jenkins.

Duzza had a golden opportunity to win the Matchplay this year. And a similar one in 2019 after beating MVG. He came up short on both occasions.

His power-scoring is impeccable.
He reminds me of Anderson back in the day. Could always score well but shite on doubles.
