Seems to lack 5% with turns him into a big game winner though.

Didn't lack it when he won the worlds or beat Taylor in the quarters last year. Games don't come any bigger than that

Taylor was far below his best.M H wrote:Didn't lack it when he won the worlds or beat Taylor in the quarters last year. Games don't come any bigger than that
I'm more referring to the GSOD Lewis game etc.

Re: Players Championship Finals
Webster or Chisnall getting to the final would be excellent. The scheduling looks a bit wonky though....thought they'd have lobbed a couple of big draws in first. First 3 TV games are definitely for the Pro-Tour purist, arguably the first 5 even. I'll be watching, but can't see the casual armchair fan being enthused by these.

Hya Matt, how's it hanging mate?
I remember this time last year we all had reservations about the PDC World Cup and it turned out to be a great event to watch. I think this has the same potential but also think the scheduling's been a bit iffy.

I hope you're right, it's darts on the telly after all....just think the start of the opening session, where they should be trying to hook in the viewers, is a bit "clogger" heavy. I'm hoping Webster, Chizzy, Hylton can all take advantage of the top half draw, but I fear Walsh or Pipe could grind their way through. A taylor v Pipe final would make me cry real tears.

Keep your mind open about a Taylor Pipe final though, I can't see it happening but Pipe's style could upset Taylor big time and cause an upset.

Re: Players Championship Finals
difference is...last year taylor was in a slump and had not won anything major for almost 4-5 months, this year he appears to be playing better in the last few weeks than he has ever had.M H wrote:Hya Matt, how's it hanging mate?

I think this has the most to do with my current malaise. It's incredible how he has a little slump, we get excited, then he comes back better. He's a fucking annoying phenomenon.Justin Credible wrote:difference is...last year taylor was in a slump and had not won anything major for almost 4-5 months, this year he appears to be playing better in the last few weeks than he has ever had.M H wrote:Hya Matt, how's it hanging mate?

Can't see anybody stopping him winning this and the Worlds. Grrrrrrr.
