i quite like a bit of music in the background , so to answer the OP no i dont require silence to play quality darts ,although to be fair my darts are far from quality most of the time

If I am ever in need of forty winks in the afternoon all I need to do is find golf on TV.

Its not that I find it boring, but peaceful.
