Ha!
This is darts in its simplest form. No big shouts of "one hundreeeeeeed and eighteeey", just the gentle thud of tungsten hitting the target, more snooker's hushed Crucible than the Ally Pally hullabaloo.
Q School recognized as the legimitate representation of "proper" darts.

Anyway, this might well be the most in-depth profile BBC Sport has ever done of Q School, isn't it? I recall coverage before, but I don't think it went much past who got cards.

The closest they've come to a pre/mid-event piece was this natter with Lloydy two years ago: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/darts/42651282

They've certainly never sent somebody along to take a look. Pretty remarkable effort by the irredeemable halfwits at the Beeb, this. Author here, including some darts stuff: https://mobile.twitter.com/HonestFrank?p=s

Jarred Cole doubles up on yesterday's disaster with an early loss. 3 darts to win one but no card.

DBG drawn someone averaging 48

His average dropping to 66 due to more chances at a finish.

Larsson has a nightmare draw in Rastovics rounds 1 but is getting it done so far.

Averaged a very solid 93 for the whole year last year, yet didn't even qualify for any of the majors, which tells you a lot. Hopefully he can find that consistency and start winning rather than losing 6-5 more often

Mawson gone.

Larsson does get it done and him and Tricole are one win from a new nation on the tour.

Two of the highest losing averages so far from Suzuki and Sherrock, both around 92. Can't just Wade in and hope for the best.
