Good riddance to the BDO for the last 10 years it actually has stood in the way of progress for the grass roots. Everyone on that side was waiting for the BDO to do it all and moaning about the results. Will be interesting to see who steps in and fills the void. There is a real opportunity here.

Correct. Some really do have the violins out. I get that people love the game as it was during their childhood etc. and we all feel some of that. But to hold tender feelings today for this brutally irresponsible, washed up joke of a company is bewildering. Don't they have football clubs for that?

Also always curiously lost in the desire of some people to fawn over what the BDO is was - the org's jackboot attempts to ruin the breakaway players' opportunities to earn a livelihood in the years after the split. People always go on as though BDO vs. PDC is also a moral matter (money-grubbing Barry Hearn, sport vs. commerce, etc. etc.), but it's hardly like the BDO is in any position to claim the high ground.
