His form this year has been pretty poor before the Masters to be fair. Only 16th seed at Lakeshite. So I wouldn't say for certain he's one of their best players, though I'm not sure how much he played the tour this year.

Having said that, he should have been included as the Lakeshite finalist anyway, and also if he wins the Masters, on the basis of that. Heck, even if this O'Shea guy wins it somehow, he should totally be in the GSOD. It's their second biggest event, and they only have 3 majors in total. Nonsense decision from the BDO.

What is the current BDO criteria for qualifying? Hasn’t Durrant been given a place by the BDO.
As for Waites being ranked number 16 by the BDO. He only plays part time doesn’t he? I’ve always liked Waitesnand think if he had moved to the PDC earlier he could have done well. His win (and r up) at the slam are testament to that.
