Re: European Championship Comp Discussion
I doubt if there's ever been an event (never mind on TV) where my strong preferences to win the semis both missed match darts and lost. Oh no!
That was some next level kick in the balls. Well harsh. Still, it was good to see Whitlock's reaction to making the final and then Wade's to winning the title. I've been a fan of both at times, if not so much recently... You could see what it meant to them, the arses.

Overall the event has been pretty decent. Sadly, you can't have all the upsets and drama, and super high quality darts at the same time. Still it was miles better than the WGP I thought.
Not a huge fan of either Wade or Whitlock but you can only beat what's in front of you. Fair play to both for taking their chances. Such a huge weekend for both, probably cementing their place in the PL (Wade certainly) and both clinching a Grand Slam spot.

This is what happens to opponents when they play Wade, he's a
gloomy, monotonous, tedious, characterless, boring fucking drudge.
10 minutes in that cunts company and you're on the phone to The Samaritans, or Dignitas.
They're all here!

I Agree, it was a case of the nearly men and all the drama was in the semi's, plus the whole crowd thing, which was always going to make the final a bit flat. So much emotion was expelled in the two semi finals. The Thorn wrote:Overall the event has been pretty decent. Wade, a month ago, never really looked like getting back in the top 8, let alone top 6, and Whitlock never looked like making a final. The absence of Gando, and early exits of crusty, MvG and Mensur certainly opened it up and there was Wade, in typical Wade style to hoover it up.
Overall it was a good tournament and if it could have had that dream final of Cullen and Max, it would have been fantastic.
Less than 7 weeks from ally pally and lots of darts before then......

Lewis would be brilliant if he gave up the Ferry job and focused on his game. He's way too good to be falling awayRandall wrote:If I had to pick one to make the comeback it would be Lewis every day of the week.
