Out of interest is FreeSports a pay-per coverage channel or is it a mutual benefit type thing? Either way I’m pretty safe to assume they haven’t paid the BDO for the coverage. No named sponsor yet either I take it? (Winmau doesn’t count anymore!).

The qualifier for the proper darts is well underway. Winstanley and Pallett into the last 64. Kellett v Harbour sounds good.

Hamilton and Fordham out without a score shown. Didn't turn up, presumably. Marvellous.

Looks like the women's qualifier played a final even though there were 2 spots to win? Okay...

Never heard of either qualifier before. Inasmuch as any female player will actually have a significant effect on the Trophy event, the two losing semifinalists (Robyn Byrne and Vicky Pruim) probably would have been preferable.

Kellett beats Harbour 4-3. Gawd.
Pallett into the last 32.

Nick Kenny out. Winstanley out.
One imagines Spineless will make it.

Kellett moves to within one win of becoming a part of the "world-class action."

There's nothing for a mushroom.

Pallett's opponent Borland has been on the PDC Dev Tour since 2015 and done reasonably well, including a semi-final last month.

Looks like Dafydd Edwards was at Q School this year, too, third time overall. Nothing stands out in his DDB record at all.

Ryan Hogarth has been all up the Dev and Challenge Tour for several years too, played in the first PDC youth champs in 2011.

Dafydd Edwards has failed Q-School three times, including this year.

Sue be like why didn't we do wildcards!

Borland and Hogarth through.

Edwards and Worsley, too.

Nice of the BDO to provide a mini-major for CT and DT regulars.

Heh, they've removed the "final" score from the women's drawsheet. Not sure if it was there in error or if they've realized that it looked stupid.

I thought that was a Croft line, but I see it wasn't. Ted Hankey, big ups to you for putting Hearn and the PDC on the right path a decade ago.
