Private darts practice rooms
Hi Everyone
Newbie here
I have inherited a large shop from my parents i was thinking of kitting it out as a private darts practice centre having 5 darts booths with electric scorers training aids etc also selling a selection of darts where people could come and practice in peace with no distraction of home pubs etc.
I love darts and play a lot at home but struggle to concentrate with kids it is something i would of used if there was something like that near me.
Was just trying to get some feedback of other players.
Would anyone use it if there was one where you was based.
Or if this is just something i would like or if this is a viable business idea for the shop i inherited.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks
wazza
And any additional info that would persuade other player to use a practice centre

Re: Private darts practice rooms
I think the vast majority of the people would prefer a pub over a practice oriented place. Sure it's good to play without distraction but then you might as well have a dartboard at home. But it's only a night out for most, socialising and drinking, the pub atmosphere is just as important as the actual darts.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

If you want to make money out of a darts enterprise you have to include booze and food.wazzanwf wrote:Yeah maybe it is me trying to have the best of both worlds a business and get to play darts aswel.Randall wrote:Doesn't sound like a winning idea to me, but what do I know.

A private booth idea just sounds pointless, can set that up at home.

If it's big enough a dedicated darts and sport bar would make money mate. Location would be a factor of coursewazzanwf wrote:Yeah maybe it is me trying to have the best of both worlds a business and get to play darts aswel.Randall wrote:Doesn't sound like a winning idea to me, but what do I know.
