What's going on with Ratajski? Is he at Alexandra Palace or Lakeside?

I'd be surprised if rumours are true on Twitter that Fitton is switching, was going to go to Q school a few years ago and didn't..

Big jobbo is confirmed for lakeshite apparently.PT13 wrote:What's going on with Ratajski? Is he at Alexandra Palace or Lakeshite?
Him not taking up his spot the most likely cause.

Krzysztof Ratajski has declined his invitation to play in the 2018 Lakeside World Championships. The Polish player had received an automatic qualifying spot by virtue of winning the 2017 Winmau World Masters in September, but has informed the British Darts Organisation that he will not be competing. England's Gary Robson (the highest ranked player on the BDO Invitation Table not already qualified) has now been added to the line up and is set to make his 16th Lakeside World Championship appearance in January

Re: The BDO Appreciation Society - Sponsored by Zeyes
This surprises me from BDO website:
JAMIE HUGHES and Scott Mitchell will return to the bwin Grand Slam of Darts in November after qualifying amongst the final five BDO representatives for the Wolves Civic event. The Grand Slam of Darts sees stars from both the PDC and BDO systems competing live on Sky Sports across nine days in Wolverhampton for the prestigious title. Lakeside Champion Glen Durrant, runner-up Danny Noppert and BDO World Trophy winner Peter Machin had already been confirmed to compete in next month's event, and are joined by the next five non-qualified players from the BDO rankings. They include Wolverhampton's Hughes - who reached the second round on his debut last year - and Dorset-based Mitchell, the 2015 Lakeside Champion who will be making his third successive Grand Slam appearance. England's Mark McGeeney, the World Masters finalist in 2016 and 2017 and current BDO number one, and Scottish duo Ross Montgomery and Cameron Menzies will all make their debut in the Grand Slam of Darts next month. The £450,000 tournament will be held from November 11-19 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, with the first round seeing the 32 players split into eight groups, with the top two in each following the round robin phase progressing to the knockout last 16 onwards. Last weekend's World Grand Prix winner Daryl Gurney and runner-up Simon Whitlock were the latest PDC players to book their spots in the Grand Slam when they qualified last weekend. Further opportunities for PDC players to qualify remain for the finalists of the forthcoming Unibet European Championship and Ladbrokes World Series of Darts Finals, with a final eight places on offer at the PDC Tour Card Holders' Qualifier on Monday November 6. Tickets for the bwin Grand Slam of Darts are available now through www.wolvescivic.co.uk or by calling 0870 320 7000

Rats just slapped the mushrooms in the face by rejecting the invitation. Obviously Lakeside isn't the pinnacle of darts...unless your a deluded cunt.

I can't see the mass exodus true going to Q school. Some believable like McGeeney, Harms, Reynolds, Hughes, Durrant. But then the likes of Fitton, Hurrel, Madigers not..

Harms has chosen his bed, I'd be surprised if he left now.
Reynolds had it on a plate and said no.
Hughes maybe
Durrant would have gone last year if he was going surely.
McGeeney is just laughable.

I think Duzza will switch this time provided he doesn't win Lakeside.
Even though Oche is probably taking the piss, I can actually see Fitton giving it a go. Wallace and Walton gave it a go years past their prime. Yes they were a bit younger than Fitton when they attended Q School, but they were just as irrelevant to the game at the time as Fitton is now; probably even more so.
